Marathi Mulgi weds Telugu Abbayi in Pune

Both proud ISB (Indian School of Business) alumni, Aditya watched more than he spoke. Every word, every pause, every glance had weight to it. And Saloni spoke with everything; from her eyes to her whole being. She was also a fantastic ukulele player, singer and a baking enthusiast. Which in hindsight makes a lot of sense to us; Saloni truly was the Jack of all trades.

When they had approached us to be their wedding photographers, we knew we had to join in and we did so quite readily. From initially meeting them in our office till capturing the very end of their stunning wedding in Pune, we could tell that Saloni and Aditya were a whirlwind of brains and elegance. It was a beautiful and traditional wedding in Pune that merged two lovely souls and two families together, and was truly a sight for sore eyes.

There was something endearingly awkward about them too. A tiny pause before they touch, a laugh that waits just a second too long. Both waiting for the other to speak first. But it only made them all the more real. Two sharp minds, curious and brilliant, made even more beautiful by their softness.

The Sangeet

In Pune, the sangeet saw all guests dancing vigorously like there was no tomorrow; the music was blasted, their excitement was at new heights, and none of the guests were able to mask their happiness. All the guests stared at Saloni and Aditya who seemed to be lost in their own world. Dancing was only part of it; it was an energetic, heartwarming, and strikingly vivid celebration.

Dressed in matching shades of deep purple, Saloni and Aditya owned the night, dancing to every beloved film song as if the soundtrack had been written just for them. With every step, every spin, they passionately enjoyed themselves. Their chemistry was so effortless, it could’ve lit up a silver screen.

The Haldi

The haldi was messy, both in a colorful yet chaotic manner and too delightful to be described. Laughter filled the air, vibrant colors danced around, and everyone was elated, even to the extent of being drenched in it. It is the type of enjoyment which remains embedded on your skin and your memories for an extended period of time.

The haldi shoot unfolded by the beach, with Saloni and Aditya glowing in yellow. They stood out like sunshine in a sea of calm, and it was impossible not to smile while watching them. Every candid moment told a story of joy, of comfort, of two people completely and utterly smitten

Their haldi ceremony had the most beautiful touch, a large cloth with a hand-painted tree, bare of leaves, standing tall like it was waiting to be brought to life. Each guest was invited to press their haldi-dipped fingerprint onto the branches, turning it into a tree full of golden leaves.

The wedding

Their wedding in Pune was vibrant, heartfelt, and full of joy. There was no drama, no show. Just a quiet urgency, like two magnets waiting to snap together. Saloni and Aditya were radiant, and everyone present felt it. You couldn’t look at them and not feel something. They had an intercultural wedding, with both traditional telugu wedding elements and marathi wedding elements involved.

And to think they only met in 2023; you’d never guess it. They moved through life and through the chaos of wedding prep with such perfect rhythm, it felt like they’d done it a hundred times before. We are truly grateful to have watched their story and preserved it for them to hold onto and cherish their entire lifetimes.
